Realkredit Norden AB (company reg. no. 559518-6866, "Realkredit", "we") cares about your privacy. This page describes what personal data we process, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It applies when you visit the website, apply for a loan, respond to our ads or are otherwise in touch with us.

Controller

What we process

Applications and enquiries through the website. Name, email address, phone number, company name, details of the property and what you need (amount, term, value, address or property designation), your message and any files you attach. We also store the time, which page and campaign you came from and a shortened, one-way encrypted form of your IP address so we can stop abuse.
Leads from ads on Facebook and Instagram. If you fill in a form in one of our ads (Meta Lead Ads), we receive what you submit, such as name, email address, phone number, company and answers to the form's questions, together with which form, ad and campaign it came from and when you sent it.
Communication. What you write to us or tell us by email and phone, and our notes on the contact.
Customer and loan relationship. If you or your company become a customer, we also process identity data (such as personal identity number and a copy of ID), information needed for customer due diligence and anti-money laundering checks (such as ownership and control, beneficial owners, politically exposed status and sanctions lists), information about the property and collateral, credit reports, and information about the loan, payments and agreements, including electronic signatures.
Technical information. When you visit the website, the server logs technical data such as IP address, time, requested page and browser to run and protect the website.
Statistics on how the website is used. If you accept statistics cookies, Google Analytics collects data about your visit, such as which pages you read, where you came from, approximate location, device and browser. See Cookies.

Why we process it and on what legal basis

To answer applications and enquiries and assess whether we can offer a loan. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries from companies and their representatives.
To follow up leads from ads and the website and contact you about your enquiry. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in following up interest in our services.
To enter into and perform loan agreements and administer the loan. Legal basis: contract, or our legitimate interest where the contract is with your company and you represent it.
Customer due diligence, credit assessment and anti-money laundering checks. Legal basis: legal obligation under the Swedish Anti-Money Laundering Act, and our legitimate interest in assessing credit and collateral.
Bookkeeping. Legal basis: legal obligation under the Swedish Bookkeeping Act.
Funding, accounting and administration within the group that Realkredit belongs to. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in funding the loans and running the group's accounting and administration.
Marketing to companies and business contacts, such as information about our loans. Legal basis: our legitimate interest. You can opt out at any time.
Statistics on how the website is used, so that we can improve it. Legal basis: consent.
Running and securing the website, such as stopping spam and abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest.
Where we ask for your consent, we process the data on that basis. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

How long we keep it

Applications, enquiries and leads that do not lead to a loan are deleted no later than 24 months after we receive them. Obvious spam is deleted after 30 days.
Customer data is kept for the duration of the customer relationship and five years after it ends, as required by the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
Accounting records, such as agreements and vouchers, are kept for seven years after the end of the calendar year in which the financial year ended, as required by the Bookkeeping Act.
Server logs are kept only as long as needed for operations and security.

Who sees it

Realkredit staff handle the data. We never sell personal data. We share data with:

companies in the same group as Realkredit, Moank Fintech Group AB (company reg. no. 556863-0361) and Moank ABS (company reg. no. 559000-0237), for funding, accounting and administration
suppliers of IT, hosting, storage and email, who process it on our behalf
providers of electronic signatures
credit reference agencies and providers of sanctions and PEP screening
Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, when you send an enquiry through an ad form on Facebook or Instagram (Meta also processes the data under its own privacy policy)
Google Ireland Ltd, which provides Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics
Usercentrics A/S in Denmark, which provides Cookiebot and stores your cookie choice
auditors, accountants and legal advisers
authorities, such as Finansinspektionen, the Financial Intelligence Unit and the Swedish Tax Agency, when the law requires it.

Transfers outside the EU/EEA

We aim to process data within the EU/EEA. If a supplier processes data outside the EU/EEA, we make sure there is a legal safeguard, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the recipient's certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics mean that data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Cookies

This website uses Google Tag Manager, a Google tool that loads other services on the site, and Google Analytics for statistics. We use Cookiebot to ask which cookies you accept.

Necessary cookies. Cookiebot stores your choice in a cookie (CookieConsent) so that we do not ask again. It does not require consent and is kept for up to a year.
Statistics cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_<id>, which let your browser be recognised between visits. They are kept for up to two years and are only set if you accept statistics.

If you decline, no statistics cookies are set. When Google Tag Manager loads, Google still receives technical information such as your IP address and browser.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the Cookie Settings link at the bottom of every page. Fonts and other resources are served from our own server.

Your rights

You have the right to:

know what data we hold about you and get a copy of it
have incorrect data corrected
have data deleted, see below
ask us to restrict processing
object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and always to direct marketing
receive data you have given us in a machine-readable format (data portability)
withdraw consent at any time.

Contact us at info@realkredit.se. We reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), the Swedish data protection authority, www.imy.se.

Deleting your data

If you want us to delete your personal data, for example data from an application on the website or from an ad form on Facebook or Instagram:

Email info@realkredit.se with the subject "Radering av personuppgifter" (Deletion of personal data).
Include your name and the email address or phone number you used when you contacted us, so we can find the right data.
We confirm the deletion by email within 30 days.

Data we are required by law to keep, for example under the Anti-Money Laundering Act or the Bookkeeping Act, is kept until the retention period ends and is then deleted. If so, we tell you which data it concerns.
